Jason comes from  Prince Albert, but resides in Shellbrook. Jason has a family of six, his wife to be Redeena and his five daughters. Jason is not new to racing. He has grown up with his father Clarence Lafontaine teaching him how to drive and other tricks on how to drive horses that are not even broke to calm broke horses. He has been driving for a few years now with the help from his daughter Darcie who now Jason showed how to drive and work with the horses.
